Review 3CE Pore Velvet Primer and Tarte Clean Slate Poreless Primer

I'm here today for a review between 3CE Pore Velvet Primer and Tarte Clean Slate Poreless 12-hr Perfecting Primer.

Do you apply primer before you put on bb cream, make up base and so on?

Why do we need primer?
1. Primer creates a protective barrier over skin.
2. Seals in and protects any treatment products used during your daily skin care regimen.
3. Primer helps makeup to stay longer by smoothing the surface of your skin.

Now you see the importance of putting on primer before your make up so never skip this essential step. I bought Tarte Clean Slate Poreless Primer reason being the salesperson from Sephora told me it is waterproof and I realised it worked best compared to competitor's brand primer.

Recently, I figured out another primer which performs better than Tarte which is 3CE. I will show you the result soon. :-)

My naked face with only primer.
Left: 3CE Pore Velvet Primer   Right: Tarte Clean Slate Poreless Primer

You can see my skin tone appears brighter in the left side with 3CE while Tarte on the right side appears to be darker.

This velvet veiling primer is a pore smoothing gel that applies cleanly on skin to cover pores and rough, uneven skin for a velvety soft skin texture.

DSC08632

Left side with 3CE absorbs my sebum and oil, and corrects skin tone for bright clean skin. The Amazon White Clay ingredient absorbs sebum and oil and keeps makeup intact and prevents skin from darkening. It creates the matte finishing touch.

While my right side with Tarte Primer doesn't perform as good as 3CE.
It clearly shown from the picture below.

p.s I want to cover my both eyes but the photo editing software doesn't have it so apologise for my awkward eyes. LOL..

My next daily basic make up regimen is HERA UV Mist Cushion!

I bought 4 to 5 of this when I went to Korea. It is slightly expensive than Laneige BB Cushion and only available in Korea. So far I don't see any online shop or blog shop bring in this product. My Korean friend highly recommend this over Laneige BB Cushion.

It gives a beautiful glow with flawless and matte finishing. You can still see my left side with 3CE primer appears to be brighter. :-) Just in case you are wondering, I'm using C23 tone.

When I finish this, I will purchase Estee Lauder Foundation. Love the texture very much.

DSC08634

Final step is to settle my make up with Banila Co. Prime Primer Finish Powder.

I bought it from Korea and retailed at RM55.  This is Banila Co. star product and it holds perfect make up condition whole day. Smoothly tidying up pores, fine wrinkles and skin bumps. It is a sebum control powder that prevents excessive glossiness caused by sweat and oils, it forms protective coat to maintain skin in clean condition.

One thing that I really love about this is the fragrance-free claim. I tried Skin Food Finishing Powder before, I really dislike the smell and it makes my pores looks much larger and visible lines.

DSC08645

Tadaa..my basic makeup is complete!

Not to forget my brows too..I'm using Shu Uemura Brow Pencil.
1. 3CE Pore Velvet Primer
2. HERA UV Mist Cushion, Tone C23
3. Shu Uemura Brow Pencil
4. Banila Co. Prime Primer Finish Powder

The soft cream texture like custard cream can even out your make up easily. This is Stylenanda new products, glad that MakeItBeauty has it!

DSC08673

I got myself 3CE Magic Touch Face Maker #Pink as well! It has the pink gold highlighter which complement my skin tone and give off a natural-looking glow.

DSC08687

I used the highlighter to highlight my T-zone and contour the outer part of my chin.

Bottom: Applied 3CE Magic Touch Face Maker

The highlighter makes my nose bridge appears to be higher.

You can get these 3CE products from MakeItBeauty especially the Pore Velvet Primer! *highly recommended* I will definitely repurchase and recommend it to my friends. :-)

My Saturday Weekend

Finally a weekend that we can stay at home to do our stuff. Is time to do my house chores and tonight I plan to cook again! ^^ We just came back from groceries shopping so I bought some ingredients to cook for tonight's dinner.

While waiting for my laundry, is time to update a quick post.

This post sums up my past weekend in Penang. Took pretty pictures so don't want to waste it! Lol..

There are two food that I must eat when I'm back to Penang. First is Super Hokkien Mee second is Tomyam Porridge at Asia Cafe! I won't upset if I don't managed to take any of them but it would be best if I'm able to fix these crave. Lol..

This is the Hokkien Mee that I had in One Corner Cafe. Blogged about it before, you can read from HERE. I included my favourite tom yam porridge in the review as well! :-)

IMG_3877

Then I told darling I want to eat cendol, this is not my favourite but since the weather is warm so might as well grab one. Rare scene when you don't see a long queue therefore it deserves a shot. Lol..Fyi, it opens everyday since 10am until it finish selling.

IMG_3882

Unfortunately the ice melted when it served. ><

IMG_3881

Then, off to have coconut drink. Honestly speaking, I never really had this coconut drink at Abu Siti Lane before. Most of the time are patronise by tourists, locals seldom take this.

IMG_3895

Expensive coconut jelly. RM4.50. Hmm..just a normal coconut jelly, nothing special to shout about.

IMG_3886

Always very-pattern expression.

IMG_3887

Then I went to visit my dear at Gurney. Celebrated her belated birthday as well. Still owning her birthday present. T.T Will definitely buy her one before she leaves.

Apart from this, Mr. Yeap bought me a pair of ear ring! Kamsahamnida!

IMG_3944

Our rare selfie. :-)

IMG_4118

Okay I always heard my colleague said this is a must-visit place in Penang, Siam Road Char Koey Teow. Have been so long I never take this due to the long queue, all because of the rave reviews from tourists. Decided to try once to know how good is this!

IMG_3929

Left is the Siam Road Char Koey Teow. Right is the one that we had in One Corner Cafe.

From the picture, it certainly tells Siam Road Char Koey Teow is way better than One Corner Cafe because that one looks dry. >< I always like to order raw egg with raw clams. Haha..I tell you it really tastes 100 times better than the ordinary one!

Personally, I wouldn't think this is the best in Penang but have nothing to complain about it except the clams is too small and little.

IMG_3943 IMG_3876

The next day we went to Yeng Keng Hotel to try out their signature Hainanese Chicken Chop for my sis birthday.

DSC08490

Chicken Pie RM45 for 3 to 4 servings*3 hours pre order*

I guess this is more to Hainanese cooking method because it is different compared to the western ordinary chicken pie. We think RM45 is too pricey nonetheless the crust is really good.

DSC08462

Hainanese Aglio Olio Spaghetti RM18

Sadly to say that, all of us do think it tasted like fried instant noodle. Lol..

DSC08476

Hainanese Chicken Chop RM18

Heard that this is their signature. I personally think this is above average but not something that deserve for my second visit.

DSC08465

We still ordered some other dishes but I can't remember the name and price so I don't include in it. Lol..

Bro is the photobomb here.

DSC08493

Grandpa at the back.

Later on, we visit to Dolce Dessert. Went to Basil, Le Bistrot but the queue is too long so we ended up here.

Dolce Dessert cakes are pretty normal which I wouldn't pay for second visit either. Hmm..what happen to me huh, seems like every food doesn't fit my liking. :-(

Fruit Paradise Blueberry RM10

The presentation is really appealing but the taste..hmm..pretty normal.

DSC08580

Creme Brûlée

Sadly to say the caramelized sugar top is too thick. Vanilla custard is quite nice though.

DSC08583

Pavlova RM8.80

How come this is so cheap? o.O I had Pavlova at Alexis costs me RM16! I wouldn't mind paying RM16 again to fix my crave in Alexis for another slice of Pavlova but certainly not this although this is much cheaper.

Wheeler's Coffee at Love Lane for the bicycle lovers!

Stupidity hits me! I was supposed to start drafting the post half an hour ago but I forgot to insert my watermark so deleted all and do it over again! Argh...

Even though is time consuming but I wouldn't want to see some commercial websites using my blog pictures to publish in their website again and yet watermark their own logo! ><

Have you seen that recently there are lots of commercial websites like to publish "10 must visit cafes in Penang", "Top 10 cafes in Penang" and etc, they didn't visit to the cafe but they steal *yes I can say you are a thief because you didn't credit mention the blogger in your recommendation* blogger's picture who took the effort to visit the place, spend money to dine in the cafe, take pictures, filter, edit, upload and spend all their time blogging about the place BUT you, without doing anything, just post our pictures in your website without credit mentioning us in your post.

I wouldn't mind to see you using our pictures but please credit mention us, for instance "Source from xxx blog". I believed I'm not the only victim, there are lots of bloggers who experienced the same thing but no ones mentioning it. Therefore, commercial website, please value intellectual property on the Internet! We didn't expect much, is just credit mention. Thanks and appreciate that!

*****************************************************

While waiting for my dear playing basketball at Saint's, I drive around to see any new cafe opened nearby. I'm super outdated now. Lol..I used to be the one who have been frequently asked by my friends anywhere to recommend for hang out place but no one is asking me now. Lol!

Saw this cafe when I drive through Love Lane. The shop name isn't obvious but is just a few shops away from Love & Latte Cafe.

IMG_3948

Wheeler's Coffee just opened a week ago. So lucky to bump into a new cafe to blog and share with you!

IMG_3949

They serve Set Lunch as well but is only during weekday.

IMG_3951

By the way, the bicycles are available for rent!

IMG_3952

A very cozy cafe but unfortunately with limited seats. Perhaps they refuse to load the place with so much tables to provide customer better dining experience cz some of the cafes really consume as much space as possible to earn utmost return. :-(

IMG_4062

One thing that I realized from cafes in Penang.

So many of them are serving Mille Crepe. Seriously, are you guys sourcing them from the same supplier? Can we have something special like Pavlova or Earl Grey Creme Brûlée? Everyone is so bored of crepe cake already...:-(
Any cafe who can serve yummy Pavlova in Penang, rest assured you, your cafe will definitely go viral. Lol..

This is just my humble opinion about the cake menu, nothing to do with Wheeler's Coffee cake. :-)

Second floor has more tables available.

IMG_3964

Dart corner. You may consult them for the charges.

IMG_3957

This is an open area for smokers.

IMG_3959

Love all these small details.

IMG_3962

The back section can accommodate for group gatherings.

IMG_4058

I'm blogging in the cafe with my MacBook Air! Ease my job so much with this light and slim lappie!

Affogato is my coffee of the day! Hmm..I still prefer Gala House Cafe Affogato. Review is HERE if you want to know more.

IMG_4071

So happy to be back to Penang.

Darling and I went to some places to fix my crave for authentic Penang food. Will blog about it when I'm back to KL!

Till then. Xoxo..

R E D . Wedding . Bidor

A personal blog post since recently I have posted so many sponsored post or reviews. :-)

Was away the past weekend to attend friend's wedding at Bidor. Is my first time visiting Bidor. A very quiet town but food are not cheap. Haha..

Is my first time being a ji mui and that goes to Yin Leng's wedding. Chinese traditional wedding is so tiring and lengthy just by visiting the two family for tea ceremony. Can my wedding be as simple as possible? Anyway not so soon, so not to worry. Haha..

Wai Kin and I still enjoying the boyfriend-girlfriend relationship. :-)

IMG_3697

The theme is to wear red dress so I was looking around for bright red dress but honestly red colour is much harder compare to turquoise or yellow. Perhaps this is not the right season for red. End up I got myself a maroon dress.

IMG_3674

Close up of my dress. Lol..with that two holes at the very awkward spot.

IMG_3705

Lots of vain pictures. Bare with me..lol..

IMG_3704

IMG_3703

The girls are actually dropping the red packets in case you are wondering why their hands are in the air.

IMG_3706

Anyway I bought this dress mainly because it is a mullet dress or you named it as asymmetrical dress/fish tail dress. Unfortunately I didn't take the full shot so you can't see how it looks exactly. :-(

IMG_3675

Wedding reception time!

IMG_3702

IMG_3698

IMG_3699

IMG_3700

Hello! Greeting from us! We have been together for 5 years plus and we never get bored of seeing each other everyday. <3 Thanks dear for your patience and understanding!

IMG_3701

Before I end my post, I bought a MacBook Air already! I'm blogging with my new lappie.

So no excuses for me not to update my blog frequently.

Anyway, I will attend Redken Launch at Publika on Thursday!

Friday I'm on leave and will be back to Penang therefore unable to attend the KL Fashion Week 2014 at Pavilion. Anyway I'm more than willing to to be back to hometown! Miss Penang already and all the good food!

I miss my Super Hokkien Mee and Asia Cafe Tomyam! There are so so many Penang cafes open in the past 5 months, never visit to any single one and everything that I know was from your Instagram so I'm an outdated food blogger now. T.T

p/s Recently I wrote two much of business emails and now I realized is so hard to write my blog. Rarely have the time to read other's blog hence is so hard for me to express my feeling, so and so. My English..you are at bottleneck. Guendeline, please read more! Argh...><
