Swah Birthday Lunch at Lunarich Pizza One Pricinct

A short catch up with the girls for Sin Wah's birthday! Love it! Some of them couldn't make it cz we have it during normal working days..:-( Majority of them are in Bayan Baru area so we decided to go there for her birthday lunch! 

Anyway, major love for our lunch in Lunarich One Pricinct. The restaurant has a delightful ambience, service is attentive and courteous, the food is pleasing, thus overall is satisfactory.

By the way, they serve Set Lunch from 11.30pm to 2.45pm during weekdays whereas ala carte menu will be serve on the weekend. 

If you are concern with the price of the ala carte menu, here you go. Anyway they have vast selection for pizza and pasta.

May try out their risotto some day then compare it with Itallianies. Lol..

Set lunch comes with a drink, salad and soup of the day.

Tomato soup for soup of the day. The tomato soup is really rich.

We must dip the garlic bread with the tomato soup so that it won't be overly sour. The garlic bread  accommodate nicely with the soup as it is not too hard yet crispy. 

Main course of the day

Garlic Chicken Diavola RM36
Cream sauce based with mozzarella cheese, chicken breast, garlic and chili-flake.

Funghi RM33

Cream sauce based with mozzarella cheese, wild mushroom and grana padano.

We ordered pizza cz we think it is more worth compared to the tiny portion of pasta. Lol..and we share among five girls. 3 slices for each person so is more than enough to us! 

All of us prefer this than the Garlic Chicken Diavola and for those mushroom lover this would certainly be your choice! The wild mushroom is aromatic and cooks perfectly. On the other hand, the crust is light and crunchy. If you don't mind certain part of it is slightly burned but this would just be the minor flaw. Cheese is a plus point for Lunarich pizza.  

Another good news to share is that they offer this Set Lunch menu as well in Lunarich Gurney Paragon during weekdays. *clap clap*

Haha..all of us still 22 except dear. Finally understood why people always wish to be forever 21. :-(
But slowly would be our turn to be 23..T.T I don't want...

They said usually they present the birthday girl or boy with mug but they have run out of stock so a cup of cappucino as substitution. 

So so sweet..with the pretty "coffee art" written SW Happy Birthday! Hehe..

Dad's Birthday Celebration '13 at StarView Restaurant

Finally start to blog about dad's birthday after half a month! Lol..can't miss this out la..worth remembering so I must blog about it to recall those happy moments! :-)

The cake! Initially was planning to customize a cake since he always requested for cake which is low sugar and less sweet but end up I got him cake from Ritz Cake House cz running out of time to ask around. In fact, Penang has not much choices to choose from and mum said dad quite favour Ritz Cake so specially order less sweet for him! 

Anyway forgot the cake name la..lol! :p 

Papa, happy birthday once again! ^^

By the way, we had our dinner at Seberang Perai Star View Restaurant 仙景楼! I always crave for their salad prawn..haha! I can't remember most the food name so enjoy yourself viewing the photos la...lol!

生日面！Those noodles that Chinese specially order for birthday boy or girl. Of course you can order it any time as you wished..is just that some people may purposely order during birthday dinner at Chinese restaurant. :-)

上汤芫菜。Chinese name of the dish, I don't know what it called in English. Mum's favourite. 

Oh ya..my favourite! Salad prawn! I super love this dish from Star View! I seldom try salad prawn from other restaurant cz I always thought their shrimp is small and not fresh enough but all the shrimps you got from here are huge and juicy! Yummylicious! 

Needless to mentioned about the fruit underneath the shrimp! There are green apples and honeydew if I am not mistaken..one is sweet another one is sour, when they mix together with salad, it is SUPERB! Haha..

鳕鱼 Cod Fish! Their cod fish also very fresh. You must definitely try it out if you love cod fish! We ordered from other restaurant before but none of them can beat this! Hehe...

Roast Suckling Pig. I don't know how 烧乳猪 called in English so asking help from Mr. Google's son, Google Translate! Lolol..

James Foo All Seasons Place Farlim

Went to James Foo Western Food at All Seasons Place outlet (Farlim) with Darling's family. Always tried from Fettes Park outlet, wondering whether the quality of food still the same in different branch. 

You must be expected to wait for at least 15 minutes to be seated during weekends and public holiday. But is quite fast la..just be patient..:-) 

The taste and the quality of food served is consistent with Fettes Park outlet. So not to worry about the down grade of the food quality.

We need to share this among three persons cz is quite a big portion, I think you can hardly finish them by sharing of two. But I remember I finish the whole thing before in Fettes Park outlet. Lol..

One of their signature. I can't find any Chicken Cordon Blue in town which can beat this. May be I don't explore much but so far this is my favourite among all. They have generous portion of ham and cheese and the flavour goes well cz I tried others before, the ham and cheese doesn't comes along one. Thumbs up for James Foo Chicken Cordon Blue la! ^^

Remember to request for their tartar sauce!! Omg! It goes so well with the food! Especially with the fried one like Chicken Maryland, Chicken Cordon Blue and so on! Unless you don't like garlic then I don't encourage you to take this! Lol..It tastes superb la! By the way, it is FOC. They used to charge RM1 per plate in Fettes Park outlet but soon they cancel it out already.

Heaven Gate Wine.Dine.Leisure at Georgetown

Had a last minute gathering last week at Heaven Gate with secondary school friends. Just about to update cz just came back from KL. Did some quick shopping at Bukit Bintang as new year is approaching..:-) 

Heaven Gate is a dining and entertainment house lounge in Penang. Heaven Gate will provide a combination of excellent yet affordable food, with a classic and fun atmosphere. A heritage building designed based on an elegant Rome setting furnished with ancient style tables, chairs, and rainbow bar made from white rubber wood. The chef's speciality menus are definitely food of high quality sold at a reasonable price, and it sure to satisfy all customers. - Heaven Gate

Indeed, it is really a nice chilling and dining place Their service is attentive and the servers are friendly and courteous. We have made a right choice to dine in here. *joyful*

The second floor is the lounge and ground floor would be the restaurant. The appearance of the entrance would make you think that they served expensive food indeed it is not. They will provide you a fine dining experience with affordable and reasonable pricing. 

Heaven Gate is located at the same row with The Sire Musuem, somewhere near to Penang City Hall and Esplanade.

They served Set Lunch as well and Happy Hour for buy one free one beer from 3pm to 8pm. I have seen the menu and is really worth of price. You should go try it out! :-)

The interior of the restaurant. Cosy right? We spent a great time here. Come in couple during Valentine's Day. They have special menu for Valentine's. Your loved one will certainly love this place. You may call upon further details. 

The colourful bottles are the signature design. It makes the interior looked more chic elegance.

Red Wine Toast Chicken. Seasoning roast chicken with herbs honey and red wine done with potato and salad.  

The portion is huge with the roasted chicken and a few side dishes. We love the presentation of the food and you can see they even putting effort in decorating the cherry tomatoes. :-)

Francaises Poulet Epice RM22.90

Spicy Grilled Chicken. Grilled chicken breast with herbs and spicy done with sweet potato and salad.

She loves her main course. The meat is not really rough.  

Saveur de Haricot Saumon Poele RM28.90

Flavour Bean Pan Seared Salmon. Pan seared salmon done with wine and honey. 

I told you their food presentation is nice right? Too bad Lee Yin claimed that the salmon has fishbone. Perhaps if you wanted to try, you may request to them to serve you other parts of the salmon which has less fishbone. 

Rouge de Poulet Chop Vin RM21.90

Red Wine Chicken Chop. Seasoning chicken chop with honey and red wine done with sweet potato and salad. 

She is happy with her food. Same goes to us.

The second floor lounge. Cosy interior and sofa. You can chill out with friends if you don't know where to head to after dinner instead of mamak, Bed or Twelve Cups..lol! Cz they open everyday until 12am, Friday and Saturday even until 1am. 

Xbox provided as well! So held your private party here la like birthday bash with your friends. Besides that, they will have live band soon, it will be available after Chinese New Year so you say nice or not..lol!

I seldom have candid shot which is nice although I know I looked fat here! That is the truth I know..that is why going for gym..read about my review to gym la! Enjoy eating is my motivation to exercise! Lol..a reverse principle from others! XD

Highlight of the night. Received a complimentary Marble Cheese Cake from the manager. The Cheese Cake is marvellous, they said this is one of their signature. The whole piece is purely cheese without any baked cookies. Sometimes it comes with the Set Dinner. You should try it out. Yummylicious!

Had a great night with the girls. We should hang out again someday! Hehe..Love you all! ♥

We would like to recommend their signature Roast Goose Breast. It is their exclusive house speciality. It is crispy, juicy and sweet goose breast gets quick roast with shallots, carrots and sweet potatoes, and served with a specially made wine sauce. The manager said some of the customers will call to order it in advance so that they won't missed it when they visit. If you wanted to try it out, better make a reservation prior visit so that you won't be disappointed! The Roast Goose Breast cost RM58. 

On the other hand, they serve Set Dinner as well. The Set Dinner cost RM78+ with Soup of The Day, any main course selection from the menu *you can even order from their speciality menu such as apple chutney lamb chop, beef liver sausage roll, roast deer thigh, spicy spider crab and so on*, a glass of wine and dessert of the day. To avoid disappointment, you may call for reservation and order the main course in advance cz the speciality menu may prior to availability due to the seasonal stock.
