Sunnyside Up Cafe and Deli Tanjung Bungah

My family and I went to a new place at Tanjung Bungah which has been recommended by my cousin. Since every Sunday we always doubt where to head for dinner *yea common problem for all of us..lol* so is good that someone recommended some new place to us..lol! Then I recommend it to you all..good thing should pass the way round what..haha!

 photo IMG_8560_zps3d26068e.jpg

It is located at Tanjung Bungah, just opposite the Esso petrol station. Right in front would be the junction and the hawker centre already. Click here for the map location. I don't know how come I typed the address but it can't show exactly at the cafe. So you just go according to Guardian Pharmacy direction in the map then it should be there. :-)

 photo IMG_8563_zps8c0c927f.jpg

There are vast selection of main course to choose from and the price range is consider reasonable.

Soup of the Day RM4.00
Mushroom soup served with bun

Starfruit Freshly Squeeze Fruit Juice RM4.00

Dad ordered a salmon steak but I didn't snap that photo. We love the Salmon Steak it is very fresh and well cooked.

Braised Lamb Shank RM23.00
with port wine sauce and mashed potato
Mom loves the mashed potato. Lol..

 photo IMG_8548_zpsc708a223.jpg

Chicken "Pizzaiola" RM9.50
pork salami slice, tomato, pineapple and cheese
I'm fine with the grilled chicken but I think it was a bit too salty and the portion is too small.

 photo IMG_8549_zpsf904137e.jpg

Spaghetti Aglio-olio RM9.00
garlic, chilli, olive oil and parmesan cheese
We think that it is too watery hence it become tasteless. Would not recommend for this.

 photo IMG_8551_zps25abd8fb.jpg

Chicken Ballotine RM11.00
stuffed with sausage, fried egg and teriyaki sauce
The teriyaki sauce makes it tasted like Japanese food. Lol..

Some comments to provide to the cafe. We went on Sunday night to have dinner at 7 something, we have been waiting around one hour for the food to be served. The owner of the restaurant just apologize saying there are some mess up in the kitchen. And we realized there are not only us who are waiting, some people who came earlier has been waiting for so long. I asked my cousin did she experienced it before, she said she usually come on weekdays when the crowd is not that pack. So I would suggest if you wanted to try it out then it is better to make it on weekdays.

Perhaps when we went, some unforeseen circumstances really happened at the kitchen but hopefully they could improve on the speed of the food served, if not they can seriously turned down their customers.

Another thing is that the majority of food are quite salty such as mushroom soup or both of the grilled chicken. Only the salmon steak cooked perfectly.

That's it for the review from me about Sunnyside Up!

English Garden Themed Wedding Reception

I am officially back in action. Feels so good to be back again..XD And this is also the first post on 2013! Lol..16th of Jan just started the first post! That means the following days I am going to update more often because...I still have a lot of pending posts!

And this is a backdate event which happening on the beginning of December! It is very beautiful so I think I shall not missed it! Leave it as a memory in my blog..^^

My batch of Marketing students have been invited by Dr. Azizah to attend her niece's wedding reception! We heard she mentioned about the preparation of this reception in class before that her niece has very high expectations towards her wedding reception and even hire wedding planner to organize their dream wedding. So, when she mentioned about inviting us along, we were like very excited and majority of us wanted to go! Lol..

The wedding reception theme is English Garden. The huge cage ever I've seen in my life.. This is also the first time attending malay wedding so I become overexcited! However, from what I've been told by my friends, somehow this is not the traditional style of malay wedding, in fact I think it is kind of like inspired from "ang mo" (English) style outdoor wedding! Usually malay held their jamuan in the morning but this wedding reception held at night which is somehow similar like chinese wedding. :-)

Lovely la..pretty flowers all over!

IMG_8257

Ahhem, frankly speaking, this is a real bouquet of flower! Omg or not..! *mouth open big* Spent so much on flower decoration, dream wedding is really different! Lol..

IMG_8223

Is also my first time seeing such a grand *at least to me la, because they even set up tent and projector, usually shown in tv only ma..lol..like Lee Chong Wei wedding..haha* wedding reception! Please imagine they have 5 big tents like these, so please estimate by yourself how many tables it is! :p

IMG_8208

The HUGE flowery cage! Pretty not! Purposely set up for this reception, I don't think they have any ready made one la..haha! If yes then where to keep such a huge cage..lol!

IMG_8214

We are so lucky to be invited by Dr. Azizah! Hehe..thanks again and feeling grateful!

IMG_8221

HUGE or not..haha!

IMG_8285

The girls from Marketing Major..:-)

IMG_8240

Pretty Wai Yee and Jean Ray. We can't stop ourselves from shooting with the cage..is just too nice la! Haha..

IMG_8248 IMG_8244

My #ootn! Somehow I felt quite matching with the theme..lol! I don't really like to wear this dress cz I shall say..erm, it makes me looked too "young"?
I think I bought it like 4 to 5 years ago when I am still in secondary school..so this dress suit form 5 to form 6 age la..but now..ahhem..old already..so I always refused to wear it..lol! But I think I looked quite good in this dress with the theme la..so that night is ok! Lol..

IMG_8242 IMG_8234

Ahha..btw the hair that I tied by myself. *first attempt and it turned out nice although is quite messy* I know the flower doesn't match with my dress but no choice I don't have any other accessories to put on..so just simply pick a flower that I have in my wardrobe..XD

Lily & Shazreen Wedding Reception
8th of December 2012

IMG_8339

I love this picture taken by me! Especially with the light..haha!

IMG_8363

This is the only few dishes that we had with briyani rice served. We finish them and requested for add on but no more already..T.T So if your table are full with 10 gents *big man I mean* then this is certainly too little..you will definitely heading for supper! *Abu Mamak, Ali Mamak la, Nasi Beratur la...*

IMG_0011

Marshmallow with chocolate! The chocolate is really nice..like some Cadbury or those sorts of branded chocolate!

IMG_0016

Group photo for those who attended..*not all of us here* total number of students in my class is roughly 20+..we love smaller class cz better interaction with the lecturer but it means that you are not able to skip class cz your lecturer will notice it! ><

IMG_8388

See, see, see..still have fireworks leh! I think last for 3 to 5 minutes..so you said la..grand or not! Lol...*never attended any wedding reception has fireworks one* o.O

IMG_8413

A proper shot with Dr. Azizah!

IMG_8395

IMG_8514

IMG_8467

IMG_8487

Thanks again for the invite indeed a memorable one!

Door gift: left for the ladies, right for the gents

IMG_8319

Actually we took a lot of photos but couldn't post it all if not I might be spamming this entry!

I didn't mentioned above where is the reception held, some of you might be guessing it correctly from the photos..:-) It is at Weld Quay! Initially I am still thinking where the hell Weld Quay has a place for wedding reception..lol!

Alright..that's it for the post and I will post more photos in my Fb..will update my blog quite frequent in these day so stay tuned for nice food reviews!

31122012 Hello New Year 2013

Bye 2012 Hello 2013!

New Year New Year!
I am so excited and happy! *don't know why* LOL..

Initially, I don't plan to write this post since this month I have published a lot! *I knew that, no choice festive season ma* Lol..But I just feel damn excited towards this new year so decided to make a post to write my new year resolutions! Hehe...*bare with me*

Laughter and sorrow happened throughout 2012..I am not sure I have grown up or not from the experiences that I've gained, but I appreciate and being grateful towards the happy matters that happened on me!
I am a person who easily forget those bad stuff and remember happy stuff only! Haha..

By the way, I am still figuring a chinese idiom which is 知足常乐。People always complain their lives is painful and they are suffering, this and that, but if you think on the other side, at least our necessities being fulfilled, we are not living in hunger, we have lovely family, last but not least, we are healthy as always!

This doesn't mean I am a person who are easily satisfied..I am not..but I will tell myself don't force yourself too hard to achieve something that is not supposed to belongs to you, and not to worry about things that are yet to be happened. I believed every achievement that one's did will certainly need some paid off. Like they have to sacrifice their leisure time, their time with family, they have to work extra hours, contribute all their time to work to achieve what they want *such as accountant, no offence, but this is real..haha* and so on. There is no free lunch in the world, if you are expecting something, then be ready to pay off in return.

You can certainly fight for it to achieve your goals, but while you are achieving, please don't forget to look around those who are supporting you, back you up and always be there for you to help you achieve your goals! *give them a kiss before 2013* lol..They are the one whom you need to treasure in your entire life..including family, friends, mentors and your loved one!

Haha..I am like giving lecture, anyway it is just my thoughts, it may be different from yours, just carry on with what you think is right and make no regret with every decision that you make! Seriously, no regret..think twice before you make your decisions..:-)

My 2013 Resolutions *very important to me*
1. Be more discipline, no more procrastinating. *bad habit that follow me like 10 years already*
2. Be more grateful to the great things happening on me. ^^
3. Committed continually to my blog. *like giving oath like that* lol *you don't know la..is self-satisfaction*
4. Figure out how was my route after I graduate. *I need to know to have some goals to target on*
5. Improving on my soft skills *presentation, public speaking skills* may be I should join Toastmaster! Lol..
6. Love my family extra much. *they are so lovely*
7. I want to go for Summer Program! Too bad..*time clash* If I can make it, it would be extra wonderful for 2013. :-)
8. Travel to some of the wish-list countries. *with friends, family or loved one~*
9. Make new friends. *I guess is quite hard for this* Haha..
10. I can be happy almost erm..all the time! Hehe..
11. Everyone is good in health, blessed, no accidents, no diseases, no death!
12. No war, say peace! ^^
13. Darling's dream come true! *bling*
14. Parent's business everything sun sun li li!
15. Do more savings! *Is very hard with my super little tiny pocket money* T.T

Haha..I know is a lot! Just hope everyone is doing great and lives happily, all your dreams come true!
Say Cheese~

Peeps, where are you going for countdown tonight? Hehe..I know I am having study week, but don't care la..study need to be compensate with some playing time one if not no ouhm! So I am going for countdown tonight! Who's in? People who are still study or open their text book during new year eve night either is weirdo or nerdy..hehe! *jk jk* Aiya study one extra night won't get you to dean list one la..have fun!

Our Childhood Memories GohKaki Cafe 五脚基

Tadaa! Another new spot in Georgetown area! GohKaki 五脚基 the name we used to know if you are living in Georgetown area when you are small..

I google-d the word "gohkaki" originated from the regulations of five feet wide in front of the shop residential street since many many years ago. Correct me if I'm wrong! Hehe..:-)

Erm, it will be quite hard to look for parking space during afternoon, perhaps you can park further then walk here. :-)

GohKaki is located along the same street with The Cruises Steak House and Lighthouse Coffee. I guessed you know where is it already. The famous nasi lemak at Bishop Street is at the end of this street.
